Impact

Maryland Clean Energy Jobs Act:

Plans to increase the state’s renewable electricity standard to 50% by 2030
Requires legislators to develop a plan to reach 100% clean power by 2040
Expected to create thousands of jobs, make Maryland a national leader in renewable energy, and cut carbon emissions equal to taking 1.7 million cars off the road each year
