Delegate's Good May

Two-term Del. Brian J. Feldman (D-Montgomery) has had a good month. The Montgomery County Chamber of Commerce voted him legislator of the year and plans to honor him at its annual dinner June 5. And last week, his colleagues in the county House delegation signaled their confidence, reappointing him delegation chairman.

Chamber officials cited Feldman's "expertise and advocacy" on issues of importance to the county's biotech and finance industries. Feldman, in a statement, called the job of a state lawmaker a "difficult balancing act," protecting the environment and public education while promoting economic growth.
